Hon. Augustine Uroye has expressed heartfelt appreciation to leaders, elders, delegates and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Warri South Constituency I following his victory in the party’s House of Assembly primary election held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
The lawmaker, who emerged as the APC candidate for the 2027 Delta State House of Assembly election, described his victory as a collective achievement made possible by the support, commitment and confidence of party faithful across the constituency.
“I am deeply humbled by the confidence reposed in me by our leaders, elders, delegates and party members. This victory belongs to every APC faithful in Warri South Constituency I who believed in our shared vision,” Uroye said.
He thanked party stakeholders at all levels for their contributions to the successful conduct of the primary election, singling out elders, women, youths and grassroots mobilisers for their steadfast support throughout the process.
While celebrating the outcome of the exercise, Uroye stressed that the party must now shift its focus from internal contests to building a united front ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“The primary election is over; now is the time for healing, reconciliation and unity. Together, we are stronger, and together we can deliver victory for the APC in 2027,” he stated.
The APC candidate extended an olive branch to fellow aspirants and their supporters, emphasising that the party’s strength lies in its ability to remain united despite differing political interests during the primary season.
“I extend my hand of fellowship to every aspirant and supporter. There are no winners or losers in our party family—only partners working toward a common goal,” he said.
Uroye reiterated his commitment to inclusive leadership and effective representation, promising to engage widely with stakeholders and remain responsive to the needs and aspirations of his constituents.
“I remain committed to inclusive leadership, continuous consultation and effective representation that reflects the aspirations of our people,” he added.
According to him, the responsibility of consolidating the APC’s growing influence in Warri South Constituency I and across Delta State requires collective effort and sacrifice from all party members.
“The task before us is bigger than any individual ambition. We must unite, mobilise and work tirelessly to ensure the APC achieves success across Warri South and Delta State,” Uroye said.
