The Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and President of Iteregbi Community in Uvwie Local Government Area, Comrade John Edes Agusa, has felicitated the Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni, on his birthday, describing him as a committed grassroots leader whose service continues to impact positively on the people.
In a goodwill message on Sunday, August 9, 2026, Agusa congratulated the Uvwie council boss and commended his dedication to public service, community development and the political growth of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government area.
Agusa noted that leadership at the grassroots demands commitment, accessibility and a genuine understanding of the needs of the people, qualities he said Ofoni has continued to demonstrate in the discharge of his responsibilities as chairman.
He particularly acknowledged the council chairman’s efforts toward strengthening grassroots governance and improving the welfare of residents, describing such commitment as essential to building communities where development can be felt directly by the people.
“On this special occasion of your birthday, I celebrate not only you as a person, but also your commitment to the service of our people and your determination to contribute meaningfully to the development of Uvwie,” Agusa said.
According to him, Ofoni’s leadership has demonstrated the importance of having administrators who remain connected to their communities and responsive to the aspirations of the people they serve.
He added that the celebrant’s contributions to the growth and stability of the APC in Uvwie also reflected his understanding of the importance of unity, cooperation and collective responsibility in advancing the interests of the people.
“Your journey in public service continues to demonstrate that leadership is ultimately about service, sacrifice and the capacity to make a positive difference in the lives of others. I commend you for the energy and dedication you have continued to bring to the administration of Uvwie Local Government,” Agusa stated.
The Governor’s aide expressed confidence that Ofoni would continue to deploy his experience and leadership capacity toward strengthening development initiatives and improving the relationship between the council administration and the people at the grassroots.
Agusa also prayed for God’s continued guidance, protection and wisdom for the celebrant, wishing him good health, renewed strength and many more productive years in service to Uvwie, Delta State and humanity.
“May Almighty God grant you greater wisdom, sound health, peace of mind and renewed strength as you continue in your service to our people. May the years ahead bring you greater accomplishments, fulfilment and divine favour,” he said.
Agusa wished the Uvwie council chairman a joyous birthday celebration and prayed that his new year would mark the beginning of even greater opportunities to serve and make a lasting difference in the lives of the people.
