Former Executive Director of Projects at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Olorogun Samuel Adjogbe, PhD, FNSE, has congratulated former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, on the occasion of his 68th birthday, describing him as a leader of leaders, a transformational statesman and one of the principal architects of modern Delta State whose enduring legacy continues to inspire leaders across Nigeria.
In a goodwill message on Tuesday, Adjogbe said Ibori’s remarkable journey in public service has been defined not only by his achievements in office but also by his uncommon ability to mentor, nurture and inspire generations of leaders within and beyond Delta State.
The former NDDC Executive Director of Projects noted that many of the developmental aspirations championed during Ibori’s administration continue to shape governance, infrastructure planning and economic growth in Delta State, adding that his leadership philosophy remains relevant years after leaving office.
According to Adjogbe, Chief Ibori combined courage, strategic foresight and an exceptional ability to identify and develop leadership potential, qualities that have earned him widespread respect across Nigeria’s political landscape.
“Chief James Onanefe Ibori is not only a transformational leader but also a leader of leaders whose mentorship, vision and unwavering belief in people have produced generations of public servants, political leaders and professionals within and outside Delta State. His legacy is evident not only in infrastructure and development but also in the calibre of men and women he has inspired to serve our country,” Adjogbe said.
He observed that Ibori’s influence transcends politics, describing him as a bridge-builder and statesman whose commitment to institution-building, leadership development and public service has continued to provide guidance for emerging leaders across the nation.
Adjogbe further stated that while history would remember Chief Ibori for his developmental strides, it would equally celebrate him for investing in people and empowering others to assume leadership responsibilities in different sectors of society.
“As you celebrate your 68th birthday, I join your family, friends, associates and countless admirers in thanking Almighty God for a life of impactful service, visionary leadership and enduring national relevance. I pray that He grants you continued good health, greater wisdom, renewed strength and many more years of fulfilment as you continue to offer counsel and inspiration to leaders across Nigeria,” he said.
The former NDDC projects chief wishes the elder statesman a memorable birthday celebration, expressing confidence that his legacy as a leader of leaders and champion of development would continue to resonate for generations to come.
