The Ughelli North Progressives Female Youths have reaffirmed their commitment to grassroots mobilisation and the advancement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following a courtesy visit to Olorogun (Engr.) Samuel Adjogbe, PhD, FNSE, at his country home in Evwreni Kingdom, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Led by their coordinator, Akpoguma Tuviere Sandra, the group paid the visit on Thursday as part of efforts to strengthen party unity, deepen political engagement and sustain grassroots support for the APC.
What began as a courtesy call quickly transformed into an engaging political dialogue, as Olorogun Adjogbe took time to interact with the young women and share his perspectives on contemporary political developments and the future of the party.
During the interactive session, the APC chieftain enlightened the youths on what he described as the achievements and programmes of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as those of Hon. Sheriff, urging Nigerians to continue supporting the administration and the party’s candidates.
He emphasised the importance of taking political education beyond party meetings and into the communities where ordinary citizens reside.
According to him, the Renewed Hope for More Agenda must be effectively communicated to the people at the grassroots to enable them to understand and appreciate the policies and programmes of the government.
“The message of Renewed Hope for More must reach every nook and cranny of Ughelli North Local Government Area. Our people at the grassroots deserve to understand the programmes and policies of the administration so they can make informed decisions and participate meaningfully in the political process,” Adjogbe said.
He further charged the female youths to remain steadfast in their commitment to party mobilisation, stressing that women and young people have critical roles to play in building a stronger and more organised political structure.
Olorogun Adjogbe also commended the Ughelli North Progressives Female Youths for their dedication, commitment and sustained efforts towards promoting and strengthening the APC at the grassroots level.
He expressed appreciation for their initiative and encouraged them to remain united, disciplined and focused in their political activities.
“I appreciate your commitment and dedication to the growth of our great party. Grassroots mobilisation requires consistency, teamwork and sacrifice. I encourage you to continue working together and carrying the message of hope and development to our people,” he added.
Responding, the leader of the delegation, Akpoguma Tuviere Sandra, expressed gratitude to Olorogun Adjogbe for the warm reception, insightful engagement and valuable words of encouragement.
She described the visit as a rewarding experience that provided the group with fresh perspectives on political mobilisation, party development and the responsibility of young women in strengthening democratic participation.
The Ughelli North Progressives Female Youths said they were particularly encouraged by the APC chieftain’s willingness to engage directly with them and share his experience and political wisdom.
“We sincerely appreciate Olorogun (Engr.) Samuel Adjogbe for receiving us warmly and taking the time to engage with us. His words of wisdom, encouragement and hospitality have further strengthened our resolve to remain committed to grassroots mobilisation and the advancement of the APC,” Sandra said.
The group reaffirmed its determination to intensify grassroots mobilisation across Ughelli North Local Government Area, promising to take the Renewed Hope for More message to communities, wards and streets while promoting the ideals and programmes of the APC.
As the visit drew to a close, the atmosphere was one of renewed enthusiasm and shared purpose.
For the Ughelli North Progressives Female Youths, the courtesy visit was more than a social engagement; it was a political call to action, a reminder that the strength of any political movement is ultimately measured not just by its leaders, but by the commitment of those working tirelessly at the grassroots.
