Former Delta State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Cyril Ogodo, has urged his supporters and political associates in Delta Central Senatorial District to support the return of Senator Ede Dafinone to the National Assembly in the 2027 elections.

Ogodo, while rallying support for Dafinone, said the senator had demonstrated commitment to the people of the district, stressing that continuity was necessary to sustain the gains recorded under his representation.

“I am calling on all our supporters, leaders and members across Delta Central to stand firmly behind Senator Ede Dafinone. We must support continuity and ensure that the good work being done is sustained,” Ogodo said.

He described the forthcoming election as an opportunity for the people to strengthen their representation, urging party members and supporters not to allow political differences to weaken their collective interest.

“Politics is about service and representation. Where a representative has shown commitment to his people, we should give him the opportunity to continue. That is why I am urging my supporters to return Ede Dafinone,” he said.

Ogodo also appealed for unity among APC members in the senatorial district, warning against divisions that could undermine the party’s prospects ahead of the 2027 elections.

“This is not the time for division. It is time for unity, loyalty and commitment to the progress of our senatorial district. I urge everyone who believes in our cause to support Senator Ede Dafinone,” he added.

His call comes as political activities gather momentum in Delta Central ahead of the 2027 elections, with the contest for the senatorial seat expected to generate increasing mobilisation among political stakeholders and aspirants.
