Former Executive Director of Projects at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Olorogun Samuel Adjogbe, PhD, FNSE, has congratulated Senator Ede Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, on the occasion of his third anniversary in office, describing his tenure as a model of peaceful, inclusive and people-oriented representation.

In a goodwill message on Sunday, Adjogbe praised Senator Dafinone for what he described as a remarkable three years of legislative service marked by humility, accessibility, and commitment to the development of Delta Central and the Urhobo nation.

The former NDDC Projects Executive Director noted that since assuming office in June 2023, Senator Dafinone has distinguished himself as a lawmaker who has pursued the interests of his constituents without engaging in divisive politics or actions capable of creating disaffection among the people.

According to Adjogbe, Dafinone’s approach to leadership has demonstrated that political office can be used as a platform for service, reconciliation and development rather than for persecution or personal vendettas.

“On behalf of my family, friends and associates, I warmly congratulate Senator Ede Dafinone on the successful completion of three years of impactful service in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Adjogbe stated.

“His tenure has been characterized by maturity, civility and a genuine commitment to the welfare of the people he represents. Senator Dafinone has shown that effective leadership does not require witch-hunting, intimidation or oppression of political opponents or any Urhobo son or daughter.”

Adjogbe further commended the senator for maintaining an open-door policy and extending support to numerous constituents who have approached him for assistance over the years.

“One of the qualities that stands him out is his accessibility. Many Urhobo people who have sought his intervention, support or assistance have found in him a willing listener and a responsive representative. He has remained approachable and committed to helping his people irrespective of political affiliations or social status,” he said.

The respected engineer and community leader described Dafinone as a “peaceful Senator par excellence,” whose conduct in office has contributed to stability and unity across Delta Central.

He noted that the senator’s focus on legislative duties, constituency engagement, economic empowerment, education, skills development and advocacy for infrastructure projects has helped strengthen public confidence in democratic governance.

“At a time when many citizens desire leaders who unite rather than divide, Senator Dafinone has continued to demonstrate exemplary leadership. His calm disposition, respect for traditional institutions, and dedication to the advancement of Delta Central have earned him the admiration of many people across the district,” Adjogbe added.

The former NDDC Executive Director urged the senator to remain steadfast in his commitment to quality representation and people-centred governance as he enters the last year of his first tenure.

“As he marks this important milestone, I pray that God grants him greater wisdom, strength and good health to continue serving our people and our nation. The journey ahead is promising, and I believe even greater accomplishments lie ahead for Delta Central under his representation,” Adjogbe said.

Senator Dafinone recently marked three years in office, expressing gratitude to the people of Delta Central for their support and reaffirming his commitment to expanding economic opportunities, promoting education and skills development, advocating for critical infrastructure and advancing initiatives that would strengthen the district and contribute to Nigeria’s long-term growth and prosperity.
