The Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and President of Iteregbi Community in Uvwie Local Government Area, Comrade John Edes Agusa, has felicitated Sheriff Junior Oborevwori on his 41st birthday, celebrating what he described as his commitment to philanthropy, youth development and community service.
In a birthday message on Sunday, September 27, 2026, Agusa described the celebrant as a young Nigerian whose interventions have continued to create opportunities for people, particularly youths and small-scale entrepreneurs.
Sheriff Junior Oborevwori, son of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, turned 41 on Sunday. He is the founder of the Sheriff Jnr. Care Foundation, which says its programmes focus on economic empowerment, skills acquisition, community development and mentorship.
Agusa said the occasion was an opportunity not only to celebrate Sheriff Junior’s birthday but also to acknowledge his contributions to society.
“Today, I join family, friends, associates and well-wishers to celebrate a young man whose life continues to demonstrate the importance of giving back to society and touching lives positively,” Agusa said.
He particularly commended Sheriff Junior’s philanthropic interventions, noting that the Sheriff Jnr. Care Foundation had provided support to entrepreneurs and other beneficiaries through empowerment programmes.
According to Agusa, such interventions are meaningful because they provide people with opportunities to become more economically independent.
“True philanthropy is not simply about giving; it is about creating opportunities, restoring hope and helping people build a better future for themselves and their families. Sheriff Junior has continued to demonstrate this understanding,” he said.
The Iteregbi community leader also praised the celebrant for his interest in youth development, describing young people as critical stakeholders in the future of Delta State and Nigeria.
He urged Sheriff Junior to remain committed to initiatives that promote empowerment, skills development, education and responsible leadership.
“As you mark another year today, I encourage you to remain steadfast in your commitment to humanity. Your generation needs more young people who are willing to use their opportunities to create opportunities for others,” Agusa stated.
He expressed confidence that the celebrant would continue to contribute to the development of communities across Delta State and beyond.
