Tebite makes list of new board of DESOPADEC

Olorogun Taleb Tebite, a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly is among the fifteen new appointments to the governing board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC.

Tebite, an Okpare-Olomu-born politician and businessman from Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State and fourteen others were screened and confirmed by the Delta State House of Assembly during Tuesday’s plenary.

The list of the nominees for the governing board was forwarded to the Assembly by the Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and read at plenary by the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

The Governor in the letter to the House said the appointment was in line with the powers conferred on him by section 7, subsection 1A of the DESOPADEC law as amended.

The nominees as read out by the Speaker, Sheriff Oborevwori who is the Governor-elect, Delta State, include, Olorogun John Nani, Chairman, Chief Festus Ochonogor, Managing Director, while Mr Efele Nicholas, Taleb Tebite, Favour Izoukumor and Mr Oghenekome Okpobor as Executive Directors.

Members include Chief Julius Egbedi, Mr Silvester Ovbije, Victor Egbo, Sunny Ofe, Goru Jonathan, Azuka Enebeli, Dr Charles Olisa, Mrs Cordilia Anyangwu and Spencer Okpoye.
