It was all joy for five members of Rotary Club of Evwreni District 9141 in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State as they were each handed a cash empowerment of N150,000 at the climax of the club’s periodic fellowship held on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

The cash empowerment of N750,000 was presented to the beneficiaries by the Charter President of Rotary Club of Evwreni, Rtn. Samuel Adjogbe, AKS, during the club’s fellowship hosted by him at his Evwreni country home.

The five benefitting members were Rtn. Paul Aloba, Rtn. Augusta Onogwohwofe, Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe, Rtn. Ejabiofio Clementina and Rtn. Obahor Clementina.

Rtn. Adjogbe, in his speech, disclosed that the five Rotarians were selected based on their activeness to Rotary activities and attendance at the club’s fellowships.

The Charter President said the gesture was part of his generosity, philanthropy and commitment to assisting the needy towards alleviation of poverty in society, which is one of the cardinal objectives of Rotary Club known for selfless service to humanity.

According to him, the financial support was necessary considering the prevailing harsh economic situation in Nigeria of which Rotarians are no exception, hence highly needed by them to serve better.

He advised the beneficiaries to put the money into useful businesses to support themselves and their families.

The every elated benefitting Rotarians eulogized Rtn. Samuel Adjogbe for his relentless philanthropy and humanitarian works promising to make judicious use of the financial support to improve their businesses.

They said, “God bless our Charter President. God bless Rotarians. We are proud to be Rotarians”
