Comrade Joel Ekoh has been inaugurated as the new Youth Chairman of Okpare Olomu community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The inauguration ceremony, which took place on Saturday, October 25, was conducted by legal luminary Gody Moke in accordance with the 2014 constitution of the community.

Speaking at the event, the President General of Okpare Development Union, Comrade Okiemute Otoka, charged the new youth leadership to see their positions as a call to serve, urging them to lead with humanity, fairness, and love for the community.

He further advised the new executives to prioritise security and environmental sanitation, stressing that these are vital to the progress and stability of Okpare Olomu.

In his remarks, the newly inaugurated Youth Chairman, Comrade Joel Ekoh, expressed gratitude to the people of Ogbe Quarters and the entire community for their support and confidence in his leadership.

He pledged to mobilise and unite the youths to make Okpare Olomu safer and cleaner.

The Chairman of the Electoral Committee, James Onovughe, described the election and inauguration process as peaceful, transparent, and widely accepted, while the Secretary of the committee provided a detailed account of the process.

Representatives of the Eghweya (women’s group) and the elders also pledged their full support to the new youth executives, urging them to work collectively in addressing community challenges.
