The Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun John Obukohwo Nani, has felicitated with Chief (Hon.) Anthony O. Akpomiemie, a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Ethiope West Constituency and a member of the Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council, on the occasion of his 73rd birthday.
In a goodwill message to mark the occasion, Nani described Akpomiemie as an experienced public servant, community leader and committed stakeholder whose years of service have contributed to the development of Ethiope West and Delta State.
Nani said Akpomiemie’s experience in public service, coupled with his continued involvement in matters concerning peace and development, remained valuable to the people of the state.
“Chief Anthony Akpomiemie has demonstrated over the years that his commitment to public service goes beyond holding political office. His contributions to the development of our communities and Delta State remain worthy of recognition,” Nani said.
The DESOPADEC Chairman also commended Akpomiemie for his contributions to the political and socio-economic development of Ethiope West, noting that his experience as a former legislator had continued to provide a useful perspective on issues affecting the people.
According to Nani, “Anthony is a man of considerable experience in public affairs. His years in the Delta State House of Assembly and his present role in the Advisory and Peace Building Council have provided him with different platforms to continue serving our people.”
Nani described the birthday as an opportunity to celebrate Akpomiemie’s life and acknowledge his contributions to his community and the state.
“As you mark another year, I celebrate your life, your resilience and your contributions to our people. I pray that God will continue to grant you wisdom, good health and strength for the years ahead,” Nani said.
He further expressed confidence that the celebrant would continue to deploy his experience in support of peace, unity and development in Delta State.
“On behalf of my family, associates and the people I represent, I warmly felicitate with you, Chief Anthony O. Akpomiemie, on your birthday. May the years ahead bring you renewed strength, fulfilment and greater opportunities to continue contributing to the peace and progress of our people,” Nani added.
Akpomiemie served as a member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Ethiope West Constituency and currently serves on the Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council.
Nani wished the celebrant many more years in good health and continued opportunities to contribute to the development and peaceful coexistence of the people of Ethiope West and Delta State.
