Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, on Thursday held a consultation with the Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun John Obukohwo Nani, at his residence in Jesse, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.
Dafinone was accompanied on the visit by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta Central Senatorial District, Chief Paulinus Akpeki.
The meeting, which took place on September 24, 2026, centred on issues relating to Dafinone’s record in the Senate, his ongoing activities and plans ahead, as well as what he described as a shared vision for the continued development of Delta Central.
Dafinone disclosed the meeting in a post on his Facebook page after the visit, saying the discussion was fruitful and expressing appreciation to Nani for the reception and insights shared during the engagement.
“We had a fruitful conversation on my record in the Senate, ongoing efforts and plans ahead, as well as our shared vision for the continued development of Delta Central,” Dafinone wrote.
He added that he appreciated Nani for the warm reception and valuable insights, expressing his intention to maintain engagement on issues concerning the people of the senatorial district.
The consultation comes against the backdrop of political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dafinone, who has represented Delta Central in the Senate since 2023, declared in April his intention to seek re-election for a second term, and has in recent weeks continued engagements across Delta Central.
The meeting represents a direct engagement between two prominent Delta Central political figures, with Dafinone indicating that discussions focused on his legislative record, ongoing efforts, future plans and broader development concerns affecting the senatorial district.
