A renowned peace and development advocate from Delta State, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, PhD, has picked up the Expression of Interest Form of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest for the Warri Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The widely known Niger Delta environmental rights activist and development advocate expressed confidence in securing victory in the general election scheduled for February 2027 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
“I am very happy today to have taken this step. I dedicate this form to God Almighty and humanity,” he said.
Mulade, who holds the traditional title of Ibe-Sorimowei of the ancient oil-rich Gbaramatu Kingdom in Delta State, also expressed appreciation to the national leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress and its National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, for giving him the opportunity to serve Nigerians, particularly the people of Warri Federal Constituency comprising the Itsekiri, Ijaw and Urhobo ethnic nationalities.
“I am the right man for the job at this moment. I represent peace, unity, development and inclusive representation devoid of ethnic sentiment and segregation,” he stated.
He pledged to promote peaceful coexistence, sustainable development and progress among the various ethnic groups in the constituency.
According to him, “I promise to work closely with revered traditional rulers, stakeholders and political leaders across the constituency to ensure sustainable peace that will attract the desired development to the ancient Warri Kingdom and its environs, the commercial nerve centre of Delta State and Nigeria at large, through inclusive advocacy, constructive engagement and dialogue for progress.”
