Executive Council, Youth Council of Eweregbene Federated Community inaugurated

A new executive council and youth council of the Eweregbene community have been inaugurated to oversee the community governance in the next three years.

The executive council and the youth executive were inaugurated by the eldest man and opinion leader of the community, Pa Michael Temisanren.

Chief Benson Dubele will serve as chairman of the executive council while Mr Jerry Numan becomes president of the youth body.

The inauguration of the Chief Benson Dubele-led executive council of Eweregbene community in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State and the Jerry Numan-led youth council marks a new era and sustainability of good governance of Eweregbene community.

The chairman and other members of the executive council and the youth council were inaugurated in a peaceful atmosphere, signalling a smooth transition in community administration.

Outgoing chairman of the council, Mr Jimo Amodah, represented by his outgoing Secretary, opinion leaders such as the eldest man in the community, Pa Michael Temisanren, Deacon Clement Tekedor and Pastor Marvel Oritsegbemi and others charged the new executive members to be upright and stay on course, especially as it concerns the welfare of the community.

They advised them to seek good counsel and work in harmony with the leaders in the community for a successful three-year tenure.

They encouraged them to carry everyone along in the scheme of things.

In his acceptance speech, chairman of the executive council, Chief Benson Dubele, thanked the community and its leadership for the confidence reposed in him, assuring them of a better Eweregbene community.

Chief Dubele noted that his executive would continue to maintain the peace and tranquillity that had existed in the community.

While calling for support from members of the community, he maintained that his administration would foster cordial relationships with oil companies within their domain, which would stimulate the socio-economic wellbeing of members of Eweregbene community.

The executive council inauguration is a 12-member executive council including Peremobowie Aaron, vice chairman, Ambassador Stephenson Numan, secretary, Oluwalele Felix, treasurer, among others, while that of the youth wing is equally a 12-member youth executive, including, thank God, Coffee, vice president, Oyinkro Oromoni, secretary, among others.

By this mandate, the executive council and youth council are expected to consolidate on achievements and the peace being recorded in the Eweregbene community in recent times.
