Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace, compassion and support for the less privileged as Muslims across the country celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message to Muslim faithful, the lawmaker said the celebration remains a powerful reminder of the virtues of faith, sacrifice, obedience and devotion to God as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
Dafinone noted that Eid-el-Kabir offers an opportunity for reflection, gratitude and renewed commitment to values that promote harmony within families, communities and the nation at large.
“As we celebrate, I urge us all to embrace the spirit of peace, compassion, generosity, and unity that defines Eid al-Adha. Let us continue to show love to one another, support those in need, and uphold mutual respect regardless of ethnic or religious differences,” he stated.
The senator commended the Muslim community in Delta Central for what he described as their enduring contributions to the peace, growth and development of the district.
According to him, the resilience, enterprise and commitment of Muslims in the area to peaceful coexistence remain commendable and deeply appreciated.
Dafinone also reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation and initiatives aimed at empowering youths, strengthening families and improving livelihoods across communities in Delta Central.
“At this important moment in our national journey, I encourage all Nigerians to remain hopeful, united, and steadfast. Though challenges remain, we must continue to support one another and work collectively towards building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous nation,” he added.
The lawmaker further prayed for peace, wisdom and prosperity across the country, expressing hope that Allah would accept the prayers, sacrifices and acts of worship of Muslim faithful during the celebration.
He wished Muslims in Delta State and across Nigeria a joyful, peaceful and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
