Senator Ede Dafinone has celebrated renowned legal luminary and elder statesman, High Chief T. J. Onomigbo-Okpoko, OON, SAN, on his 95th birthday, describing his contributions to the legal profession, administration of justice and preservation of traditional values as an enduring legacy of honour and service.
Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, congratulated the revered Senior Okakuro of Okpe Kingdom in a birthday message, honouring a life marked by professional distinction, public service and commitment to cultural heritage.
The senator particularly acknowledged Onomigbo-Okpoko’s accomplishments as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and former Chairman of the Body of Benchers, highlighting his contributions to the development of Nigeria’s legal profession and the administration of justice.
According to Dafinone, the celebrant’s life and achievements exemplify the values of integrity, honour and dedicated service.
“As a former Chairman of the Body of Benchers and distinguished Senior Advocate of Nigeria, your exemplary contributions to the legal profession, administration of justice and preservation of our cherished traditional values remain an enduring legacy of honour, integrity and service,” the senator said.
Dafinone extended the felicitation on behalf of himself, the Dafinone family and the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, recognising the celebrant’s stature both as a respected legal practitioner and a prominent traditional figure in Okpe Kingdom.
He also offered prayers for the nonagenarian’s continued wellbeing, asking God to grant him more years in good health, peace and fulfilment.
