Senator Kashim Shettima, the running mate to the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 general elections in Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday stunned the audience at the 2022 Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA.

Shettima was at the event which was held at the Eko Hotel in Lagos State to represent Tinubu unlike Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, who were in attendance with their entourage.

The oversized outfit which Shettima wore to the occasion became the focus of many in attendance as soon as he arrived.

More amusing and comic to many was his combination of a suit and a pair of canvass which points to his wrong choice of dressing for such an occasion best suited for corporate outfits.

Shettima’s funny outfit has since then been a top trending issue in the mainstream and online media and on Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter and social media platforms.

Tinubu and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, did not make it to the NBA conference that they were expected to attend.

Senator Kashim Shettima served as Governor of Borno State from 2011 to 2019 and has served as Senator for Borno Central since 2019.
