Senator Ned Nwoko (Delta North) in the National Assembly, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Nwoko has served as a foundation member of the PDP since 1999.

In a letter addressed to the Chairman of PDP ward 8, in Aniocha North Local Government Area, and dated 30th January, 2025, Senator Nwoko cited deep divisions and factionalization which had made it increasingly difficult to foster unity and advance the collective interests of the people, as one of the reasons for leaving the party.
