Delta State is in mourning following the sudden death of former Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi, a towering figure in Nigerian politics, described by colleagues as “the Political Oracle” of Delta.

In a heartfelt statement, Senator Ede Dafinone of Delta Central extended condolences to Nwaoboshi’s family, political associates, and the people of Delta North, emphasizing the late senator’s wealth of political wisdom and strategic insight.

“Senator Nwaoboshi served Nigeria with dedication as a two-time Senator representing Delta North and as a two-term Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State.

“Until his death, he remained a committed chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), where his experience continued to enrich the progressive cause in the state,” Dafinone said.

Senator Dafinone prayed for divine strength for Nwaoboshi’s family, loved ones, and the people of Delta State to bear the profound loss.

The political community is expected to gather in the coming days to pay their final respects to the late statesman, whose career spanned decades of influence and service.
