Health workers and community-based organisations have been urged to be creative in the discharge of their duties to the Primary Health Care Centres in the various Local Government Areas of Delta State.

The chairman of the state advocacy team implementing the Covid-19 Response Mechanism and Resilient and Sustainable System for Health Strengthening System and Community Strengthening System (C-19RSSH-CSS), Pastor Greg Sifo during the monthly coordination meeting held with community-based organisations in Asaba, the state capital, urged them not to be discouraged by the attitude of those they work with during the course of implementing their programmes.

Pastor Osifo enjoined them to always try to proffer solutions that could help them to improve on their work.

He revealed to them that the focus group discussions and outreach activities being carried out by the CBOs should be creative and highly innovative to captivate and encourage both service providers and clients to do the needful for seamless health delivery.

The State Programme Officer, Miss Juliet Obiajulu who appreciated the remarkable efforts of some of the CBOs noted that it is only through hard work that the project could become successful.

She appealed for creativity in the discharging of their duties and enjoined CBOs to be timely in the reportage of their activities to give evidence of the numerous activities they carry out in the communities.

During the course of the meeting the state NEPWHAN Coordinator, Mr Christopher Ogberetitinor and Tuberculosis Coordinator, Mr Miracle Onyeukwu also encouraged the participants to be selfless in the discharge of their duties at the various Primary Health Care Centers in their community of implementation.
