The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, Abe 1, has enjoined the Iwere nation to give the Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse III the necessary support for him to further take the area to a greater height.

The Uvwie Monarch was speaking when he received the Olu of Warri in his palace at Effurun GRA in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, Abe 1, his council of chiefs and some of his subjects received the Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse III, who was accompanied by his Council of Chiefs and some Itsekiris in Uvwie Local Government Area to the Uvwie Palace.

The various dance troupe of both kingdoms also entertained the two monarchs briefly before the Olu of Warri and his entourage were formerly entertained according to the customs and tradition of the Uvwie kingdom.

Abe the first commended the Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse III for the visit saying it is the second time the Olu of Warri is visiting the Uvwie Palace since the history of the kingdom.

Abe the first said as Monarchs they would continue to listen to their subjects and asked their subjects to also respect and support their Monarchs.

He enjoined the Olu of Warri to carry everyone along as he is the father of all his subjects including those that did not support him before he was enthroned.

The Uvwie monarch noted that the visit would further cement the relationship between both kingdoms.

He appealed to the Olu of Warri to join hands with him and the Warri Federal Representative and the Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Representative in the National Assembly to prevail on the authority of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, to restate sacked casual staff of the company before embarking on new employment.

The Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse III thanked the Ovie of Uvwie for the warm reception accorded him and his subjects.

Ogiame Atuwatse the third thanked God Almighty for making the Ovie of Uvwie kingdom Abe the first his direct neighbour, stressing that the best time of both kingdoms has just begun.

The Olu of Warri said he has forgiven everyone that offended him before his coronation and that his palace is opened to those who want true reconciliation.

He pledged to support the Uvwie kingdom within his reach especially as it will benefit both kingdoms.

The Ovie of Uvwie later presented a gift to the Olu of Warri to mark his visit to the Palace.
