Former chairman of Burutu Local Government, Chief Ebikeme Clark, has said that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is very committed and passionate about the development of Delta state.

Ebikeme stated this on Monday while speaking with newsmen shortly after he was sworn-in as Special Adviser alongside, Dr Augustine Obidi at Government House, Asaba.

He noted that Dr Okowa became governor at a time the state needed a man that will stand by his words.

According to him, “It is on record that the things that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has said he will do are either completed, ongoing or in the process of commencement.

“He is a man that does not say things that he cannot do,” said Ebikeme.

Ebikeme, who was until his elevation to the position of Special Adviser was the Executive Assistant on Conflict Resolution to Okowa, praised the governor for diligent execution of projects and programmes geared towards achieving the Stronger Delta vision.

“Visit the twenty-five local government areas in Delta State, you will see visible projects that completed and ongoing which clearly attest to the fact that Okowa is a detribalised Deltan that is committed to the even development of the state,” Ebikeme posited.

He expressed his profound gratitude to governor Okowa for giving him another opportunity to contribute his quota in the realisation of his set targets for the state before he leaves office.

Ebikeme who promised not to disappoint the confidence reposed in him by Okowa further noted that the governor has been very fair and equitable in his appointments across the state.

The Ijaws of Delta he said are very proud of Dr Okowa and look forward to his successor who would follow after his exemplary leadership style.
