Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm congratulations to former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godsday Orubebe, member representing Isoko South Constituency II in the Delta State House of Assembly, Ferguson Onwo, and cleric, Adekunle Emmanuel Ojo, as they marked their 67th and 60th birth anniversaries respectively.
In separate statements on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori described the trio as distinguished personalities whose contributions to public service, leadership, community development and spiritual growth have positively impacted countless lives.
Congratulating Elder Orubebe on his 67th birthday, the governor described the former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs as a respected statesman and accomplished public servant whose role in advancing development initiatives across the Niger Delta remains significant.
He noted that Orubebe’s years of dedicated service to the nation, particularly in the oil-rich region, have left enduring legacies, adding that his experience and counsel continue to benefit Delta State and Nigeria.
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I warmly congratulate Elder Godsday Orubebe on the occasion of his 67th birth anniversary.
“He is a distinguished son of Delta State whose contributions to the growth and development of the Niger Delta and Nigeria remain noteworthy. His dedication to public service and the welfare of the people has left enduring legacies,” the governor stated.
Oborevwori also felicitated Hon. Ferguson Onwo on his 60th birthday, describing the former Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly as a committed grassroots politician and effective legislator.
He commended Onwo’s representation of Isoko South Constituency II and his stewardship as Chairman of the House Committee on Health, noting that his legislative experience and oversight functions have contributed to strengthening the state’s health sector.
The governor said Onwo had consistently demonstrated dedication to public service, democratic governance and the welfare of his constituents, adding that his contributions to legislative development were worthy of recognition.
Similarly, Governor Oborevwori celebrated Pastor Adekunle Emmanuel Ojo on his 60th birth anniversary, describing him as an impactful servant of God whose ministry has inspired and transformed many lives.
He acknowledged Pastor Ojo’s service as former pastor in charge of the Living Faith Church branch in Osubi, noting that his commitment to evangelism, mentorship and moral values has left a lasting imprint on communities across the region.
According to the governor, Pastor Ojo’s life exemplifies humility, integrity and selfless leadership, while his contributions to Christendom and humanity remain invaluable.
Oborevwori prayed for continued good health, wisdom, strength and greater accomplishments for the three celebrants, wishing them many more years of fruitful service to God, humanity and society.
