Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi, describing his death as a profound loss to Delta State and Anioma land.
In a condolence message issued in Abuja, Senator Nwoko said the late Nwaoboshi would be remembered for his enduring contributions to the political development of Delta State, particularly Anioma, dating back to the 1990s.
He described Nwaoboshi, who represented Delta North in the Senate from 2015 to 2023, as a long-standing political force, a consummate party administrator, and a dedicated community leader whose influence shaped generations of political engagement in the state.
“It is with a profound sense of loss and grief that I received the sad news of the passing of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi,” Nwoko said.
“He contributed immensely to the social and political evolution of Delta State, Delta North, and Nigeria at large, having served with distinction as party chairman, commissioner, and senator, among other key public offices.”
The lawmaker extended his condolences to the Nwaoboshi family on behalf of himself, his family, and political associates, noting that the late senator’s passing leaves an irreplaceable void.
He prayed for divine strength for the family and the people of Oshimili, Anioma, and Delta State to bear the loss of what he described as a political patriarch.
