President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the family, friends and associates of late Captain Idahosa Okunbo.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, on Sunday, the President noted Captain Hosa contributed immensely to the development of the economy, providing sustenance to many families in the process.
The President who prayed for the repose of the renowned businessman and philanthropist noted that the late Okunbo with investments spanning the petroleum, telecommunications, maritime, and power sectors, among others, contributed immensely to national development.
Also, the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, described the unanticipated news of the demise of Captain Okunbo as an irreplaceable loss to humanity.
In a condolence message, Oshiomhole said that the deceased made himself available to solve the problems of everyone at all times.
According to him, late Capt Okunbo was not just a good friend, but a brother and an exceptionally dependable ally in all my efforts for a better Edo State.
The former Edo State Governor prayed God to grant him eternal rest.
