Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has congratulated two prominent legal practitioners of Urhobo origin, Jim Okodaso, SAN, and Onome Okodiya, SAN, on their elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Dafinone described their admission into the Inner Bar as a recognition of professional excellence, intellectual accomplishment and dedication to the administration of justice.

In a congratulatory message, the senator said the achievement had brought honour to the Urhobo Nation, Delta State and the Nigerian legal profession, while reinforcing the tradition of professional distinction among the people.

“As Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, I take particular pride in this milestone, which further affirms the enduring tradition of intellectual distinction and professional excellence among Urhobo people,” Dafinone said.

He noted that attaining the SAN rank came with a responsibility to uphold the rule of law, strengthen public confidence in the judiciary and advance justice in Nigeria.

According to him, the honour should inspire both legal practitioners to continue serving the profession and the country with integrity, diligence and commitment.
