Rotary Club of Evwreni District 9141 in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State has donated delivery kits and mosquito nets to Ejekota Primary Healthcare Centre.
The items were distributed Thursday, July 25, 2024, to the healthcare centre in pursuit of the club’s project on maternal and child health.
Presenting the items, the President of Rotary Club of Evwreni, Rtn. Paul Aloba noted that the foundation of a healthy life begins at birth.
Rtn. Aloba said the club remains committed to contributing its quota in the healthcare of people in its mandate area in line with the core objectives of Rotary International.
Receiving the items, the Officer-in-Charge of the Edjekota Primary Health Centre, Mrs Ekevwo Florence, commended the Rotary Club of Evwreni for the support as government alone cannot cater for the health needs of the citizenry.
Those who sent in donations and took part in the project were Rtn. (Dr.) Samuel Adjogbe AKS, the immediate past president of the club and Assistant Governor of District 9141, Rtn. Paul Aloba, president of the club, Rtn. Augusta Onogwohwofe, club Secretary, Rtn. Ufuoma Atare, president nominee of the club, Rtn. Uba Darlington, club Administrator and Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe, club public image/foundation chair.
Others were Rtn. Clementina Obahor, club project chair, Rtn. Clementina Ejabefio New generation chair, Rtn. Famous Ameophe and Rtn. Ufuoma Becky Polio chair.
