The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has extended warm congratulations to Professor Presly Ogheneruke Obukoadata on his appointment as Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC), Academics, of Southern Delta University, Ozoro, Delta State.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Forum, the Publicity Secretary, Amb. Ehvwubare Oghenekparobo, ANIPR, FIMC, described Professor Obukoadata as an erudite scholar, seasoned academic, and a distinguished intellectual whose contributions to education and media development remain invaluable.

The Forum noted that Prof. Obukoadata’s wealth of experience and academic excellence have earned him recognition within and beyond the academic community, expressing confidence that his new role would further enhance the standards of teaching, research, and academic administration at the institution.

Amb. Ehvwubare recalled the Professor’s impactful engagement with members of the Forum during the 2025 Annual Convention of the Delta Online Publishers Forum, where he delivered insightful lectures on media entrepreneurship, equipping participants with practical knowledge and strategies for growth in the digital publishing space.

“Professor Obukoadata is not only a scholar of repute but also a mentor whose passion for knowledge dissemination and capacity building is evident. His session at our 2025 convention remains a reference point for many media practitioners,” the statement read.

DOPF further commended the management of Southern Delta University for recognising merit and appointing a capable academic leader, expressing optimism that the institution would witness significant academic advancement under his stewardship.
