Since the end of hostilities between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh communities in Udu and Warri South-West Local Government Areas of Delta State, the people of the hitherto warring communities have tried to pick up the pieces and forge ahead.
They are happy with the firm resolve of the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to ensure that the people of both communities continue to live in peace as neighbours.
However, while they make effort to settle down and regain some of their losses, they are worried that the General Hospital at Ogbe-Ijoh, which they rely on for their healthcare is yet to reopen for operations.
NewsNet gathered that the hospital was shut in the heat of the crisis between both communities and its medical personnel reassigned to the General Hospital in Warri.
Some of the residents of Ogbe-Ijoh communities told DRTV News with the development whenever they require medical care they go to the General Hospital in Warri.
This, according to them has posed a serious challenge to their getting prompt attention to their health needs.
They lamented the stress they go through and the financial implication in getting medical attention at the General Hospital in Warri and beyond.
They, therefore, appealed to the state government through the Delta State Hospital Management Board to reopen the hospital since peace has returned to the area.
