Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has congratulated Chief Solomon Val Arenyeka on his emergence as the Delta State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the outcome of the party’s State Congress as a testament to internal democracy and growing unity within the fold.

In a statement on Tuesday, Senator Dafinone also extended his felicitations to members of the newly constituted State Working Committee, commending the peaceful, orderly and transparent conduct of the congress that produced the new leadership.

According to him, the process that led to the emergence of Chief Solomon Val Arenyeka and other party executives reflects the party’s democratic credentials and signals strengthened cohesion among stakeholders in Delta State.

The lawmaker said the leadership’s emergence represents a clear vote of confidence from party faithful and carries a solemn mandate to provide purposeful, courageous and unifying direction at a critical time in the party’s political journey.

He urged the new chairman and his team to prioritise the consolidation of internal democracy and to reinforce party structures across the 25 local government areas of the state.

He also called for the entrenchment of discipline, accountability and collective responsibility as essential pillars for building public trust.

Dafinone stressed that the task before the new executives demands strategic mobilisation, effective communication and unwavering commitment to progressive governance ideals, noting that the party must position itself as a credible and dominant alternative in Delta State.

He reaffirmed his readiness to work closely with the new State Working Committee to advance the vision of the party and deliver sustainable development and inclusive prosperity to the people of Delta State.
