Ughievwen monarch urges Deltans to sustain support for Oborevwori

The Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM (Dr) Matthew Ediri Egbi Owahwa II, has called on Deltans to close ranks and rally round the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori towards taking the state to greater heights.

The Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom made the call on Saturday while honouring two of his illustrious subjects with chieftaincy titles.

The rich and dynamic cultural and traditional heritage of the Ughievwen people was on display as the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom, Owawha The Second, honoured an illustrious son and a daughter of the Kingdom with chieftaincy titles.

Melodious songs and folklore of the ancient Ughievwen Kingdom were sung by the Ughievwen Udje dance troupe, which ushered the Ughievwen monarch and chiefs to the dance floor.

Bestowing the chieftaincy titles of Adjevabor of Ughievwen Kingdom on Olorogun Willingson Imonijeta and Ochuko r’omo reghworabofo on Olorogun (Mrs) Vivian Narudu, the Okobaro of Ughievwen, Owawha the second said that the kingdom only gives chieftaincy titles to deserving persons.

The Ughievwen monarch charged the new Chiefs of the kingdom to be worthy ambassadors who would sustain and promote the rich cultural heritage of the kingdom.

The Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom also called on Deltans to sustain their support and rally round the State Governor, Right Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori to deliver on the MORE Agenda.

The Owahwa II, who is also the chairman of traditional rulers in Ughelli South Local Government Area, noted Governor Oborevwori started well by completing and initiating people-oriented projects programmes and policies.

The new chiefs of Ughievwen Kingdom, Olorogun Willingson Imonijeta and Olorogun (Mrs) Vivian Narudu appreciated the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom Owawha the second for finding them worthy of the recognition and honour with the chieftaincy titles.

Olorogun Imonijeta with the title of Adjevabor and Olorogun Mrs Narudu who is Ochuko r’omo reghworabofo promised to represent positively in all their endeavors.

The ceremony was attended by chiefs of Ughievwen Kingdom including the Otota rode, Olorogun Matthew Share and the Secretary General of the Kingdom, Olorogun John Okoro.
