To ascertain the readiness of some projects for inauguration to mark the one year in office of Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring and Audit, Dr Goodnews Agbi and his team of very seasoned engineers have embarked on another round of inspection of ongoing projects across the state.
The inspection was aimed at reviewing the extent of work done on some of the projects and ascertaining the ones for inauguration by Governor Oborevwori to mark his one year in office.
Dr Agbi and his team over the past weeks have traversed the nooks and crannies of Delta State inspecting projects being executed by the Delta Government to ensure that the contracting firms deliver quality jobs to Deltans in line with the MORE agenda of Governor Oborevwori.
The day’s inspection kicked off in Aniocha South Local Government Area as the team inspected the Isheagu-Ewulu road and bridge construction project.
The project which connects various agrarian communities in Aniocha South is set to be put to use, especially in facilitating the movement of farm produce.
Dr Agbi commended the contractor for yielding to his advice the last time he came to visit to make some corrections on the job.
From Aniocha South, the Dr Agbi-led monitoring team made a stop at the 4.04 Emevor-ivrogbo/ Orogun phase 1 project at Emevor town in Isoko South Local Government Area, where the site engineer briefed the team on the expected time of completion.
The monitoring team was at Ughelli South Local Government Area to inspect the 500-meter and over 2-kilometre road construction and Orere bridge project.
The Orere Bridge project is another giant one that is set to connect 15 communities.
Dr Agbi further inspected other projects around Otovwodo junction in Ughelli Town being handled by Roadman Construction Enterprise.
He expressed satisfaction with the jobs emphasizing that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration is result-oriented and will always deliver quality to Deltans.
