Garba Shehu, spokesperson to President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday said the robbery attempt at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja was unsuccessful.
NewsNet learnt that that the Villa in Abuja was reportedly attacked in the early hours of Monday by a suspected armed gang who made away with some items.
But, Shehu in his reaction on Monday night said the Chief of Staff confirmed that there was an attempt to burgle his house around 3 am on Monday morning but that the attempt was not successful.
He said, “The Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari has confirmed that there “was a foolish attempt” to burgle his residence at 3:00am this morning but it turned out to be unsuccessful.
”Professor Gambari, whose house is on a street next to the Villa has however assured that there is nothing to worry about from the incident.”
