Evwreni-born politician and community developer in Delta State, Hon Fidelis Adjogbe has expressed optimism that the landmark achievements of the immediate past Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration in eight years will be consolidated and sustained by the newly sworn-in governor of the state, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

Oborevwori on Monday, May 29, 2023, took oath as the 5th elected governor of Delta State at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba. the state capital venue for the inauguration ceremony.

Adjogbe, who was Senior Special Assistant (SSS) on Political Matters to outgone Governor Okowa in his congratulatory message to Governor Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, said the successful inauguration marks a transition to greater development of the state.

He said, “For me, the inauguration of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as governor of Delta State marks a transition from one level of glory to a higher level of glory for the state. Our amiable past Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has handed over to a well-tutored political son who is also committed and passionate like him to advancing the development of Delta State.

“I heartily congratulate Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme for their well-deserved victory at the March 18, 2023, gubernatorial election and their inauguration on May 29.

“Though the campaigns were rigorous and the contest generally fierce because God was involved, and the majority of Deltans appreciated the footprints of the PDP administration, they reciprocated by voting massively for the victory of Sheriff Oborevwori at the polls,” said Adjogbe.

Continuing, Adjogbe said Deltans can only hope for the best in the administration of Oborevwori whose M.O.R.E Agenda will ensure even development of the state.

“Those who have had personal contact with our Governor Oborevwori will attest to the fact that he is a Pan-Deltan who is not driven by sentiment and tribal leanings. I will join others to say that Deltans are in safe hands with Oborevwori in the saddle,” said Adjogbe.
