Light House Team congratulates Gov Oborevwori on Supreme Court victory

Light House Team, a political pressure group membership across Delta State, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori at the Supreme Court over the petitions filed by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Chief Kenneth Gbagi and Mr Ken Pela challenging the outcome of the March 18, 2023, governorship election in the state.

The State Chairman of Light House Team, Olorogun Samson Eduba described the victory of Governor Oborevwori at the Apex Court as a reaffirmation of the overwhelming votes of Deltans.

The group on Friday held a party to celebrate the victory at the Udu Local Government Secretariat, Otor-Udu.

Powder was on a free flow as leaders and members of Light House Team, a political Pressure Group converged at the Udu Council Secretariat as they could not hide their overwhelming happiness for the triumph of the State Governor at the Supreme Court on Friday.

Reacting to the victory of Governor Oborevwori at the Apex Court, the State Chairman of the Light House Team, Olorogun Samson Eduba said that his triumph was expected as he was overwhelmingly voted for by Deltans.

Olorogun Eduba said that the long thrown out litigations against the Governor was a big distraction to him and the MORE Agenda towards moving the State on the fast track of development with the historic groundbreaking for the three flyovers and cloverleaf as a strong indication for the good governance under Oborevwori’s administration.

Also basking in the euphoria of the victory of Governor Oborevwori, the Vice Chairman of Light House Team, Comrade Kenneth Itobore said that the pressure group was so excited for the governor’s victory because the judgment validated the support of the group and other Deltans.

Secretary of the Light House Team, Mrs Rita Tobor and the Udu Council Chairman of National Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Comrade Matthew Emuejevwe, said Governor Oborevwori has been always the choice of Deltans from the word go.

Mrs Tobor and Comrade Emuejevwe said that Governor Oborevwori has distinguished himself as a capacity grassroots and friendly governor to Deltans, especially civil servants.

Other persons who also expressed optimism that now the litigation encumbrances have been removed, the Governor has empowered to execute the MORE Agenda.

Light House Team was one of the groups which organised spontaneous celebration for the victory of Governor Oborevwori at the Supreme Court.
