Rotarian Fidelis Adjogbe, a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Political Matters to the immediate past governor of Delta State has said that he is primed for leadership and would consolidate on the MORE Agenda of the incumbent Governor Sheriff Oborevwori if given the mandate to serve as the next chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council.

Adjogbe, a native of Evwreni Kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area is a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and a community developer was speaking today Wednesday when he led members of his chairmanship consultation team to consult and sought the blessing of the chairman and other executive members of Ughelli North PDP and the chairmen of the 20 Wards in the council area.

Top among Adjogbe’s entourage, were the Otogor President-General, Comrade Emmanuel UK Edirin, former Majority Leader Ughelli North, Hon. Desmond Okpako, Mr Goodluck Awanerhi, Prince Famous Amrophe, Pastor John Aki, Mrs. Charity Akpomrere, Mr. Christian Onovughe, Mr. Ake Idekpe and Mr. Azakaza Lucky.

Others who accompanied Adjogbe on the consultation visit were Comr. William Oghorada, Prince Ozah Shokare, Comr. Diamond Friday, Mr. Michael Onomakpo, Mrs. Kate Ejagbedia, Mrs. Maria Akeke and Mr. Blessing Egbonodje.

They were warmly received at the PDP Local Government Area party secretariat in Ughelli by the LGA party chairman, Pastor Kesiena Noumoja, Secretary, Chief Simon Asite, Youth Leader, Mr. Clever Stanley, Agbarha ward Chairman, Hon. Daniel Emaye and other ward and LGA executives.

Addressing the gathering, Adjogbe promised to collaborate with all security agencies to ensure that the security of lives and properties are of top priority within and around Ughelli North, ensure a clean and hygienic environment as a core responsibility and initiate skill acquisition programmes for youths for a sustainable development within and around Ughelli North LGA in collaboration with the state government and other non-governmental organisations.

On workers’ welfare, the IT consultant and project manager assured of prompt payment of workers’ salaries and  better welfare scheme while pursuing people oriented projects in line with the MORE agenda of the Oborevwori-led administration.

He further pleged to boost the Council’s internally generated revenue (IGR) by creating a business-friendly environment for all at all times, upgrade and build more primary health care centres and facilities within and around Ughelli North with support from the state government as well as build a recreational centre within Ughelli North LGA on public private partnership (PPP) in collaboration with private investors.

The Ughelli North PDP chairman, Pastor Noumoja and others commended Rotarian Adjogbe for joining the chairmanship race for Ughelli North Local Government Council and wished him well in his political pursuit.
