After several weeks of galvanising and mobilising for support and votes for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Evwreni Kingdom of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, the Fidelis Support Group For PDP (FSG-PDP) on Sunday, January 22, 2023, held strategic stakeholders meeting as part of efforts to consolidate gains recorded so far.

The meeting took place at Unenurhie Community of Evwreni ward 08 with the Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the Delta State Governor and PDP Vice Presidential candidate, Mr Fidelis Adjogbe, presiding.

The stakeholders meeting was another moment of decision as the good people of Evwreni Ward 08 of the PDP and other political parties in the ward unanimously agreed to deliver all candidates of the party in the February and March 2023 general elections.

Addressing the stakeholders, Mr Adjogbe, said it would amount to an act of wickedness for anyone from Evwreni Kingdom to support any other governorship candidate considering the fact that Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, who is the Delta State PDP gubernatorial is a son-in-law to the Evwerni people, a grassroots man, competent, accessible and willing to advance the SMART Agenda of the Okowa administration with the MORE phenomenon.

Adjogbe urged other stakeholders still on the other side to rethink and support the purpose-driven agenda of Governor Okowa and the incoming Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

Fidelis Adjogbe noted that the APC-led government at the federal level has made life unbearable for Nigerians adding that a return of the party to power in 2023 will triple the hardship currently facing the Nigerian state.

The Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the Delta State Governor also urged all to guard their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) jealously as it is the only power they have to decide those to pilot and direct the affairs of the nation.

In his response, the Vice Chairman of the PDP, Evwerni ward 08, Mr Moses Ovwighose, affirmed that the ward is PDP and that no other party has a base in the ward.

The Chairman of the Fidelis Support Group leaders and elders forum said APC has failed completely and has no place in Evwerni ward urging all to vote PDP 5/5.

The Vice Chairman of Fidelis Support Group leaders and elders forum, Pastor John Aki, said the time is now to take charge of their destiny noting that PDP is the way to go as it is a guarantee for good governance.
