The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a mobile policeman in Warri by yet to be identified gunmen on Friday.
The incident occurred near the New Port Area of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA in Warri, Delta State.
It was learnt that the deceased was escorting his friend when the gunmen struck and sniffed life out of him.
In a phone chat with NewsNet on Sunday afternoon, the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the killing of the mobile policeman.
Onovwakpoyeya said that the gunmen also carted away his AK47 rifle.
She said: “Yes, it is true and the gunmen also took away his AK47 rifle.”
