Ahead of the visit of the PDP Presidential flag bearer in the forthcoming general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar to Delta State, a political pressure organization, Person-to-Person Campaign Group, has enjoined Deltans to turn out in their numbers to give the former Vice President and his team a rousing welcome.

National Chairman of the group, Dr Victor Onyema Ebenuwa, said the visit was another opportunity for the people to affirm the stronghold of PDP in Delta state and to further appreciate the party for the choice of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as the running mate to Atiku Abubarkar.

Dr Ebenuwa pointed out that the national massive movement by the PDP to recover what is left of the country as a result of APC maladministration at the centre was on course and stressed the need for every Nigerian to be a part of the “Rescue Nigeria Project” of Atiku Abubarkar and Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

The grassroots politician and social mobilizer, commended the overwhelming responses of Deltans during the state-wide PDP ward-to-ward, local government to local government campaigns, saying that the people are united for 5 over 5 victories of the PDP in the general elections.

“The state-wide campaign was successfully conducted. The turnout was super and massive, particularly in my local government area, Ika North East. I must commend the campaign committee for Ika North East, headed by Chief Frank Nwugo for a job well done. The choice of Okowa as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate was divine. We will continue to appreciate our party, PDP for the wise decision,” he said.

Dr Ebenuwa warned Deltans against the antics of members of the APC and their fake promises, maintaining that the party should be apologizing to Nigerians for running the country down instead of going round to canvass for votes from same impoverished people.

The PDP Chieftain noted that no aspect of the nation’s economy was spared by the APC bad governance, stressing that the Atiku-Okowa ticket was the only way forward to rebuild Nigeria.

“I want to enjoin Deltans to reject the APC and the fake promises of its members. Enough of this suffering. APC destroyed all fabrics of Nigeria as a nation. Nigerians must join forces with the PDP Atiku Abubarkar and Ifeanyi Okowa to rescue the country from further collapse.

“Majority of the people are victims of the maladministration of APC at the centre. I am happy about the nationwide revolution against APC’s bad governance and the unity of Nigerians to stop the party through the ballot box for another four years of slavery,” Dr Ebenuwa stressed.

Continuing he stated, “Person to Person Campaign Group of which I am the National Chairman is committed to the Atiku-Okowa project. We are not relenting in our massive mobilization of electorates to deliver PDP 5 over 5. Coming Wednesday’s visit to Delta State by Atiku, the national leadership of our party, PDP and the national campaign team is a welcome development and we must affirm that Delta State belongs to PDP.

“Deltans are very appreciative people and we must show our appreciation to the party for giving us the Vice President. Delta will remain a PDP State till the end of this generation. I, therefore, enjoin Deltans and residents in the state to turn out en-mass to receive our next President and his team to Delta state.”

Dr Ebenuwa said victory was sure for the PDP in the forthcoming general elections as the party was committed to the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians.

He pleaded with all the founding fathers of PDP in the state to join hands with the governor to deliver Delta massively for PDP, assuring that with Dr Okowa as Vice President, everyone would be adequately accommodated in the government.

Dr Ebenuwa described Dr Okowa as a team player who will not abandon any member of his team.
