One Voice. One People. One Leader: Chief Simeon Akpovwoghokohwo Ohwofa

The 2025 UPU election is not a ceremonial gathering; it is a battle for the soul, unity, and direction of the Urhobo Nation. At this defining moment, the Urhobo cannot afford emotional mistakes or experiments based on empty promises. The destiny of our people demands a leadership with credibility, intelligence, and national respect, not candidates whose influence ends the moment they leave their immediate community.

Those who oppose Chief Simeon Akpovwoghokohwo Ohwofa are not the problem; the real problem is the misinformation, fear, and narrow interests that blind some people from seeing the danger of gambling with Urhobo’s future. The truth is simple: Urhobo needs a President General who can command respect in Abuja, influence development across all 24 kingdoms without bias, and speak for Urhobo in a language the nation understands. This is not the time for untested men or regional champions who cannot stand on a national stage. This is the time for competence, maturity, and proven capacity qualities that only Chief Simeon Ohwofa embodies.

Chief Ohwofa is a University of Ibadan–trained Agricultural Biochemist and Nutrition expert with an MBA from the University of Benin, who rose to the position of Departmental Head in Roche Nigeria Limited (Vitamin Division), one of the world’s most reputable global companies, before retiring honorably in 1995; he is founder and Managing Director of Nutrivitas Limited and O.M. Simons Nigeria Limited, firms that built capacity, created jobs, and contributed significantly to Nigeria’s food and animal-nutrition industry; he has served as Coordinator of the distinguished Urhobo Historical Society (UHS), preserving Urhobo history, documentation, and identity; he is former President of the Urhobo Social Club, Lagos, the most influential gathering of Urhobo elites and professionals; he has sponsored countless scholarships for Urhobo youths, supported community initiatives, and invested in education and empowerment. No other candidate brings this blend of corporate experience, cultural stewardship, philanthropic engagement, and national-level respect. None.

The question on the lips of opponents is always the same: “What makes him different?” The answer is everything. A PG must be a symbol of neutrality, not a beneficiary of factional loyalty. He must unite the young and old, carry the chiefs along, command the respect of the diaspora, and speak with a voice weighty enough to influence national decisions.

Those contesting against Chief Ohwofa may have good intentions, but leadership is not about intentions; it is about capacity. Popularity is not leadership. Political ambition is not service. And experience cannot be formed overnight. While others talk, Chief Ohwofa’s life is evidence.

Those resisting his emergence are unknowingly resisting the most credible path to Urhobo unity, progress, and national visibility. A divided UPU weakens every community. A controversial PG puts Urhobo in chaos. A partisan PG kills our collective voice. But Chief Ohwofa is the stabilising force Urhobo desperately needs. He has no political debts, no factional commitments, no bitterness, and no interest other than the survival and progress of the Urhobo people. He is the bridge between generations, the conscience of the elites, the pride of the intellectual class, and the respected face of Urhobo identity at the national level.

The truth is undeniable: 2025 is not the year for mistakes. The next President General must defend Urhobo interests with authority, engage with the government with credibility, attract development with influence, unite the kingdoms without bias, and lead with wisdom and strength. Chief Ohwofa can. Chief Ohwofa has. Chief Ohwofa will. Any opposition to his candidacy at this critical moment is opposition to Urhobo unity, dignity, and strategic relevance in Nigeria. Pride, sentiment, and personal loyalty must give way to logic, truth, and the survival of our people. Chief Simeon Akpovwoghokohwo Ohwofa is not just the best choice; he is the only choice that guarantees stability, unity, and dignity for Urhobo.

Urhobo mena ovuo vo !!.
