The immediate past House of Representatives candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bomadi and Patani Federal Constituency, Delta State, Hon. Tamunokro Juliano George Obriki has commended High Chief Government Ekpemupolo and management of Tantita Security Services Limited for doing a very great job in the fight against oil theft in the Niger Delta region.

Obriki also noted that Tompolo and Tantita were still the best hands to assist the Federal Government and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited NNPCL to stop the menace of oil bunkering and illegal refining, which is dwindling the daily crude oil production as well as polluting the environment

In a statement on Thursday, the Abuja-based Ijaw leader made available to newsmen in Warri, said the Federal government and the NNPCL got it right for engaging Tantita Security Services Limited to secure pipelines and waterways.

He said, “High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo is the best man for this job. It is a square peg in square hole. Tompolo deserves all our respect and support. He is delivering and has shown competence and capacity in handling the sensitive job awarded to him.

“Only clowns in Niger Delta will say Tompolo and Tantita firm were not doing a good job. Information available to me, Tompolo in his benevolence gesture extended a hand of fellowship to other stakeholders both from pipeline communities and non pipeline communities. But we are now hearing about some unholy gang ups and meetings.”

According to him, “Nobody will tell me what I know in this Niger Delta region. The business of securing pipeline and oil facilities is not an ethnic business, and I do not need to be a beneficiary to speak the truth. At least I owe my community, party the APC and country the duty to speak the truth. And the truth is that Tompolo and Tantita remains the best hands for the job”

He urged the leadership of NNPCL and the federal government to continue in this vain as Nigerians were already seeing massive improvement in the daily oil production
