Former Secretary to the Delta State Government and Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, has been described as one of Delta State’s most strategic political minds, as goodwill messages poured in to mark his birthday.

Leading the tributes, Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro, a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Political Matters, praised Ovie Agas for his enduring relevance, discipline, and rare ability to combine experience with political foresight.

In a heartfelt birthday message, Ofomukoro said Agas represents a generation of leaders whose wisdom remains indispensable to the state’s political stability and growth.

“Delta State still needs your wisdom. Your political journey is not just a personal success story; it is a lesson book for young politicians who want to build lasting structures rather than chase fleeting relevance,” Ofomukoro stated.

He also noted that Agas’ calm disposition and deep understanding of grassroots politics have continued to shape political engagement in Ughelli North and across Delta State.

“Leadership is not about noise. It is about consistency, loyalty to people, and the patience to nurture institutions. Rt. Hon. Ovie Agas has demonstrated all of these over the years,” Ofomukoro added.
