Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to two prominent figures, Archbishop Goddowell Avwomakpa and Hon. Stella Okotete, as they marked their 78th and 42nd birth anniversaries respectively.
In separate goodwill messages issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor commended both celebrants for their enduring contributions to faith, service, and human development.
Celebrating Archbishop Avwomakpa, General Overseer of Christ’s Missionaries Crusaders Church, Governor Oborevwori praised his decades-long commitment to ministry and humanity.
He noted that the cleric’s impactful leadership within the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has left a lasting imprint on the nation’s spiritual and moral fabric.
The governor described the Archbishop as a devoted shepherd whose teachings and evangelism have transformed lives, families, and communities.
He highlighted his wisdom, compassion, and pastoral dedication, noting that his life remains a testament to faith, discipline, and unwavering service to God.
Oborevwori said the milestone offered an opportunity for reflection on God’s grace and faithfulness, praying for continued strength, good health, and more fruitful years in ministry for the revered cleric.
In the same vein, the governor congratulated Hon. Stella Okotete, Executive Director, Business Development at NEXIM Bank, describing her as a committed advocate for social development and empowerment.
He applauded her consistent efforts in uplifting women, youths, and vulnerable groups, noting that her people-oriented initiatives have strengthened the fortunes of the All Progressives Congress (APC) both in Delta State and nationally.
Governor Oborevwori described Okotete, a former National Women Leader of the APC, as an illustrious daughter of Delta State, whose contributions to human capital development have earned her widespread admiration.
He added that her grassroots engagement and humanitarian efforts have made her a role model, particularly for aspiring female leaders.
The governor emphasised that her legacy of compassion and service reflects the ideals of inclusive governance and social responsibility, expressing confidence that she would continue to achieve greater milestones in both her personal and public life.
