Obi wins 3 more LGAs in Delta as INEC debunks rejecting results from Ika North-East

More results of Saturday’s Presidential election across the 25 local government areas of Delta State have been announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Upon commencement of the continued exercise, the Delta State Collation Officer for Presidential Election, SCOPE, Prof. Owuneri Abraham Georgewill, warned the media against publishing incorrect information from the collation centre.

Prof. Owuneri said at no time were results from any local government area, particularly Ika North-East rejected as reported by a section of the social media, saying that it was condemnable to misinform the public.

The Electoral Officer for Bomadi local government area, Kingsley Ogbegbe who presented the results from the locality, announced that PDP scored 4,429 votes, Labour Party, 3,134 and APC 2,421 votes, with a total vote cast of 10,945.

In Ndokwa West, as announced by the Collation Officer for the local government area, Dr Cathrine Onwugbolu, Labour Party won with a total vote of 12,889, PDP 8,599 and APC 3840 votes.

For Warri North, the Collation Officer for the local government area, Dr Hanna Agbalagba, said PDP scored 3411, Labour Party, 2417, while APC got 1379 votes, even as she disclosed that election did not hold in four polling units in Ward one.

Labour Party also won in Ethiope East Local Government Area with a total vote of 10806, while PDP scored 7854 and APC 6314 respectively as announced by Mrs Theresa Okonkwo, the Collation Returning Officer.

In Aniocha South, the Labour Party scored 14,208 votes to top the list, PDP 4,672 votes, while APC got 1686 votes as announced by the Collation officer, Mr Raphael Wemembu.

More results were being awaited as at the time of filling in this report.
