Former Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Nick Ovuakporie, has delivered the presidential election in favour of the Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in his polling Unit 012, Oyede Ward 12 in Isoko Notth Local Government Area of the state.

Recall that Ovuakporie in January 2023 dumped the APC for the PDP with some prominent members of the main opposition party in the state waving away his defection with the insinuation that he lacks political relevance in Isoko nation.

However, despite being migrated from his original polling Unit 05 to the newly created Unit 012 unknowingly to him, the former APC scribe was still able to win the unit for PDP in the 2023 presidential election conducted on Saturday, February 25.

In the unit PDP polled 78 votes, LP 65 and APC 49 for the presidential contest.

On the effective working of the BVAS for the conduct of the election in his unit, Ovuakporie said, “The BVAS functioned uninterruptedly in my polling unit 012. Voting was orderly and peaceful.

“The electoral rules were complied with. I voted at about 12:02 pm and delivered my unit to the PDP in the Presidential election.”
