The plot by some leaders of Evwreni Kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State to foist new cabinet members on the Ilotu of the kingdom, Priest Jabin Omoko, seemed to have been aborted.

NewsNet Nigeria gathered that the major contestants for the position of President General of the Evwreni Clan Improvement Union, (ECIU) are now rallying and wowing Priest Omoko and his cabinet members of Ilotu of Evwreni Kingdom to get their support and votes ahead of a new date for the election which was earlier slated for Saturday, November 18, 2023.

The Secretary, Ilotu of Evwreni Kingdom, Mr Elvis Udjuame, in a phone chat with NewsNet Nigeria, confirmed that there are no more squabbles over the composition of the Chief Omoko-led Ilotu in Evwreni Kingdom.

Mr Udjuame disclosed that the three major contestants for the position of the President General into ECIU, Chief Kenneth Ukpebitere, Chief Jude Mogu and Chief Simon Asite have paid consultation visits to the Ilotu of Evwreni Kingdom to solicit for their votes.
