Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun John Obukowho Nani, has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo, CFR (Rtd), Orhue I, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom and Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, on the occasion of his 20th coronation anniversary.
Nani described the monarch’s two decades on the throne as a remarkable journey of visionary leadership, peacebuilding and unwavering commitment to the growth and unity of Okpe Kingdom and Delta State.
In a congratulatory message on Wednesday, the DESOPADEC Chairman said the Orodje’s reign has been distinguished by wisdom, stability and selfless service, noting that the royal father has remained a respected voice in advancing peace, preserving cultural values and promoting harmonious coexistence across the state.
“On behalf of my family, the management and staff of DESOPADEC, I heartily congratulate His Royal Majesty, Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo, CFR (Rtd), Orhue I, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, on the joyous celebration of the 20th anniversary of your coronation,” Nani said.
According to him, the Orodje’s reign has brought honour to the Okpe Kingdom while strengthening the institution of traditional rulership in Delta State.
“Your Majesty’s reign has united the people of Okpe Kingdom, inspired confidence in traditional institutions and fostered an atmosphere of peace that has encouraged development and strengthened the social fabric of our communities,” he stated.
Nani also praised the monarch’s leadership as Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, describing him as a dependable partner in promoting peace, supporting government initiatives and offering wise counsel on issues affecting the state.
“Your fatherly guidance, humility and commitment to justice have earned you the admiration of your subjects and the respect of leaders across Delta State and beyond. Your contributions to peace, cultural preservation and good governance will remain an enduring legacy for generations to come,” he added.
The DESOPADEC Chairman prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the royal father, asking for good health, strength and divine wisdom as he continues to lead the people of Okpe Kingdom with compassion and dignity.
He urged the people of Okpe Kingdom to remain united behind their monarch and continue supporting his vision for sustained peace, cultural pride and socio-economic development.
Nani wished the Orodje many more fruitful years on the throne, describing his 20th coronation anniversary as a milestone worthy of celebration by the entire Urhobo Nation and Delta State.
