Former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Monday Igbuya has returned to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, four years after he dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress, APC, NewsNet Nigeria has learnt.

Recall that Igbuya was impeached by 22 out of the 29-member assembly on Thursday, May 11, 2017.

Consequently, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, who represents Okpe constituency was elected as his successor.

The Sapele born politician later joined the APC to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Sapele/Okpe/Uvwie Federal Constituency in the 2019 general elections.

A dependable source told NewsNet Nigeria that Igbuya will in the next two weeks officially return to the PDP alongside a former member of the House of Representatives for Ethiope Federal Constituency, Hon Solomon Edoja, Pastor Godwin Akpovie of Oghareki in Ethiope West Local Government Area and other staunch members of the party in the state who defected to the APC.
