The Erhwu Ovieya of Agbarha Otor Kingdom and Chief Dr. Mrs. Mercy Eguriase Sule (JP) have congratulated Comrade Wilson Asekutu on his emergence as Chairman of the Delta State Council of the Trade Union Congress (TUC).

In their message, the Erhwu Ovieya and Chief Sule described Asekutu’s unopposed election as clear proof of his competence and the strong regard his colleagues have for him.

They said the outcome reflects the trust and confidence placed in his capacity to steer the Delta TUC toward greater progress, cooperation, and value for both members and the wider state.

Extending their goodwill, the Erhwu Ovieya and Chief Sule urged the new chairman to deploy his mandate in ways that encourage members to contribute actively to the peace and development of Delta State.

They expressed confidence that Asekutu’s experience in PENGASSAN will strengthen his push for improved welfare and protection of workers’ interests.

They also encouraged TUC members to support his leadership as he works to build a more effective and impactful union focused on better working and living conditions for Delta workers and residents.

They concluded with prayers for wisdom and good health for Comrade Asekutu as he takes on the responsibilities of his new office.
