The Verification Committee approved by Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has released the list of political appointees scheduled for screening, in continuation of the verification exercise earlier announced by the Secretary to the State Government.

In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Committee, Mr. Felix Irevwi, the committee disclosed that the first phase of the screening will cover Executive Assistants (EAs), Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), and Special Assistants (SAs), including aides to Commissioners, Special Advisers, Chairmen and members of commissions, boards, parastatals and agencies, as well as aides to other senior political office holders.

Political appointees attached to the Delta State House of Assembly, excluding domestic staff, are also listed for verification.

The committee clarified that the screening timetable earlier issued by the Secretary to the State Government remains unchanged.

Affected appointees are expected to present themselves at the Press Centre, behind the Chapel, New Government House, Asaba, between 11:00am and 3:00pm on their scheduled dates.

According to the statement, appointees must come along with the original copy of their letter of appointment, their voter’s card, and a valid Delta State Government identity card.

However, political appointees in the Delta State House of Assembly are exempted from appearing on the announced dates, as their screening schedule will be communicated separately through the Clerk of the House.
